That reminds me of that one Seinfeld episode.

Scene: Post - eye appointment lunch at The Olive Garden.

Mom: I’ve been thinking about people [especially couples], and how there’s so much weight put on what the individuals have in common. They might have a lot in common, but it really comes down to the question, “Do I like spending time with this person?” You either enjoy them or you don’t.

__________

Scene (Part A): Seinfeld episode 3.11, “The Alternate Side.”

Elaine: …You’d really like him.

Jerry: Why do people always say that? I hate everyone, why would I like him?

__________

Scene (Part B): Seinfeld episode 3.11, “The Alternate Side.”

Elaine: I love being with him. I mean, I like being with him. It’s okay being with him. [Scene changes.] I just don’t enjoy being with him.

How did the eye appointment go?

Okay… change in prescription will hopefully clear up the vision issues I’ve been dealing with (there were no obvious problems with my eye). I get my new glasses within the next several days.
